I. On-campus Accommodation
Article 1 International students shall abide by the uniform accommodation arrangement and live in designated dormitory and bed. Besides, they shall be cooperative when the university needs to adjust accommodation arrangement owing to facility repairs, property refurbishment and other students leaving the premises for various reasons.
Article 2 International students shall pay accommodation expenses in full as scheduled. They shall prepay the expenses for electricity bills online as appropriate.
Article 3 International students shall cooperate with the university's checks on dormitory environment, property conditions, and safety conditions and shall not obstruct or avoid such checks for any reason.
Article 4 In case any international student needs to leave the university premises for any reason, he or she shall settle the withdrawal procedure at the office of international students affairs within seven work days and move away from the dormitory.
Article 5 International students shall take care of public properties and keep the walls clean and the facilities and equipment in good condition. No one shall paint the walls, make graffiti on the walls, or post anything on the walls. In case any property is damaged, the compensation shall be made as per the actual price or the cost of repairs.
Article 6 International students shall abide by laws and have polite speeches and conducts. They shall not violate public orders and good customs, conduct illegal religious gatherings or other superstitious activities, or take illegal drugs. Besides, fighting, gambling, excessive drinking, littering, and throwing anything from upstairs are prohibited.
Article 7 International students shall follow the work and rest system. It is prohibited to stay out all night, return after the specified period, or accommodate any outsiders without authorization.
Article 8 International students shall cultivate desirable safety awareness and habits. They shall pay attention to power utilization safety and help to maintain all types of fire-fighting equipment and facilities in dormitory buildings. Power supply shall be switched off when leaving the dormitory. Any prohibited electric appliances with power exceeding 1,000W and may cause fire hazards shall not be used, and unauthorized wiring shall not be made to avoid potential fire hazards consciously. Personal belongings shall be properly protected; doors and windows shall be properly locked when leaving the dormitory. Plenty of cash shall not be kept in any dormitory, and other valuable private belongings shall also be properly kept.
II. Off-campus Accommodation
Article 9 International students shall not rent apartments off campus for accommodation without prior consent. In case any international student needs to rent an apartment to live off campus out of particular reasons, he or she shall submit an application and obtain the approval from the university. They shall only move out to live in neighboring communities designated by the university after the university has registered the case with competent authorities of the government and communities.
Article 10 In case any international student is allowed to live off campus, he or she shall abide by Chinese laws, public orders and good customs, be subject to the supervision and inspections by the university administrators, community police and administrative staff of the communities, keep the environment tidy, and get along well with neighbors. It is prohibited to accommodate any person of opposite sex to effectively safeguard one's own and the university's reputations.
