LSU Evaluation Regulations for International Students Participating in Activities and Competitions on and Off Campus

I. General Principal

1. The comprehensive evaluation results of international students serve as an important basis for yearly student awards.

2. During the evaluation process, the same activity should not be evaluated repeatedly to calculate the points.

3. Paid activities or activities which ISD office specifies not to add points or students attend by themselves are not included in the adding points items.

4. The yearly comprehensive evaluation will be publicly announced for 5 days at the beginning of the next spring semester. Failure to put forward objection within the publicity period will not result in any further changes.

II. Add/Subtract Point Standards

1. Adding Points Items

5. Students participate in all kinds of academic or sports competitions and are given different scores according to the award level(see table-1).

Note:

6. Competitions that students take part in by themselves are not included in the statistics of bonus points.

7.  Students at their 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year who take HSK4 examination and get it passed with 180 points or above scores will be given corresponding points according to the national competition. Respectively, HSK4, 2.5; HSK5, 3; HSK 6, 3.5.

8. Students who participate in non-competitive activities are treated according to the excellence awards of competitions at the same level and are given corresponding scores.

9. Students who do good deeds inside and outside the campus are commended in writing form (including awarding banners) by the relevant departments shall be given additional points according to the level of the commendation department. Among them, the municipal/university Level plus 0.5 points; provincial level, 1.4; national level, 2.7.

 

2. Subtracting Points Items

Students who have any kind of following behaviors are subtracted different scores (see table-2).

Other matters not covered shall be handled in accordance with the relevant management regulations of the school. The interpretation of this regulation belongs to the ISD Office.
